American taxpayer, Dennis J. Leise is back with his 4th album, "Fightstarter".

Dennis hails originally from Western PA, but for the last 20 years has called the Chicago area his home.

He carries the baggage of his rural upbringing, small-town angst, suburban-cultural-wasteland boredom, big-city wit/savvy and current post-apocalyptic confines of Unincorporated Gary, Indiana to life in his songs that are borne, not from situations, but from ideas, practically ensuring his commercial obscurity.

Humor abounds as "Fightstarter" offers stretches from his usual repotoire, offering more modern sounds and a stark view on contemporary issues and modernity, all while still being tuneful and enjoyable to listen to (Not sucking).

With it and his usual cast of studio superstars, he suggests broad and deep interests, influences and capabilities spanning a century of American Music.

As a lifelong fan of psyche, I was delighted to have found this, stunned that I'd missed them for three decades and devastated by the news of Dallas' passing. Makes many of the album's lyrics even more poignant. I hear echoes of the Chocolate Watch Band, Long Ryders and both the pop and country sides of the Byrds.
